Service Description: Slope displayed on this map was generated from high accuracy elevation data acquired via Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) airborne platform in November 2019. The LiDAR was acquired with an elevation measurement approximately every 2 feet with a vertical accuracy of 6 inches. The slope map has a pixel resolution of 2 feet and shows slope based on LiDAR Digital Terrain Model elevation data from 2019. The slope map is overlaid on the LiDAR terrain to show topography. Besides slope, the map includes streams, ponds, wetlands, lakes, watersheds, park, trails, sinkholes, and current road network and building footprints for structures with a minimum area of 82 square feet. Updates to these features from 2015-2023 aerial photography. Contact the City of Columbia IT/GIS Division with questions about this data.
