The map shows terrain data acquired via Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) airborne platform in February of 2023. The LiDAR was acquired with an elevation measurement approximately every 2 feet with a vertical accuracy of 6 inches. Additional terrain data includes 2-ft contours and depressions of 6" or more, high and low elevation points, all created from the 2023 LiDAR, and sink holes, Hydrography (streams, lakes, wetlands) updated from 2015-2025 aerial imagery and 2023 LiDAR, watersheds, FEMA flood zones from 2017, current structures, parks and natural areas, trails, roads, and the city boundary. If you want to see vegetation, please view the 2022 NRI at https://www.como.gov/nri/. Contact the City of Columbia IT/GIS Division with questions about this data.
