Map service is updated annually as the City recognizes new notable and historic properties.  \n\nFounded in 1821, the City of Columbia, Mo. has a landscape immersed in historical significance. This web map reconstructs the setting for the early architects, business leaders, families and institutions that built Columbia. Included in this web map are the City's \"Most Notable\" and National Register properties, landmarks and districts. \n\nFind out where these areas and buildings are located. Click on the features and follow the links to read why each property is a standing artifact of Columbia\u2019s history. \n\nThis publication is partially funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service of the U.S. Department of the Interior.  Grant awards do not imply an endorsement of contents by the grantor.
